UPDATE about my real estate tax problem

original thread: SEE BERTHA SLAP SOMEONE SILLY!

I talked to someone at the treasurer's office this morning. Finally.

She looked up my account and said, "I show your 05-06 tax paid in full as of yesterday."

:wtf: I didn't even get a chance to complain about the runaround. Seems my mortgage company (not the fubar title company in question - see earlier thread) paid it for the year yesterday.

All that high blood pressure for this relieving but somewhat disappointing denouement.

:shrug:

But at least we've got about a thousand bucks coming - refund from the title company. If I can get someone to return my calls!

and so sorry you had to go through all the stress. like i mentioned in my PM - we went through something similar a few years ago - really really frustrating.
