Do you find this odd? (School lunch trading with teacher)
Until today, I was under the impression that my daughter's food tastes had improved dramatically. She would always want me to make extra dinner so that she could take it to school the next day in her lunch box. Enchiladas... chili... chicken alfredo... you name it. I found out today that she's been trading lunches... WITH HER TEACHER! So the teach has been consuming my lovingly prepared cheddar broccoli soup and handing my daughter her PBJ and cheez-its.

2. I do find it odd for a couple of reasons
For one thing, with more awareness of food allergies, I know a lot of schools have put the kibosh on food sharing. I would think that would include the teacher as well as the students.

For another thing, it kinda sounds like the teacher is taking advantage. I'd probably have a talk with her (the teacher).

3. Yep, that's really odd. Did you make her PB&J before or did
you give her lunches that she didn't want to eat?

I have a friend whose 14 yo son will still eat NOTHING but PB&J. If she had tried to send him to school with anything else and he had a teacher who would trade whatever he had for a PB&J, he'd do it in a second flat (of course it would depend on the bread because he's picky about that too).

6. Started off the year with typical lunch fare
PBJs, ham & cheese, mac & cheese, raw veggies & dip, etc.

The really odd thing is that I learned this from the school nutritionist who suggested I send my daughter foods she would eat for lunch (and provided me a lovely list) instead of sending foods the girl traded with the teacher. On the flip side, my daughter asks me to send her the dinner leftovers & made such a huge fuss about it.

I wonder if my daughter isn't playing both side here: 1) telling me to send her the leftovers and 2) telling the teacher she doesn't like the leftovers. Maybe she's getting some sort of attention bonus out of sharing with her teacher?

8. She most definitely shares a relationship with the teacher
that no other kid does (unless the teacher brings in multiple PB&Js and stocks up on the traded lunches for dinner).

I'm sure she gets a lots of compliments from the teacher on the lunches and feels pleased with herself. Pretty normal for a kid.
