11. I only vaguely remember Bilko in first-run
When I was a teenager, KTVU in San Francisco showed them back-to-back starting at 11 p.m. weeknights.

"HIIIIiiiii-UP!"

"Bang! Zoom!"

12. Hmmm...I'm wondering how old you are?
That is kind of personal.....you can refuse to answer if you wish....

I suspect that I am a lot older....I'm 62 now.....

And I did my teenage growing up in San Jose...and that's where we watched those shows....

13. I'll be 50 in April
Bilko (actual title "The Phil Silvers Show," subtitled "You'll Never Get Rich") ran from September 1956 through September 1959. So I was 3 1/2 when it went off the air.

I was just a bit south of ya, in Salinas. :hi:

Hey! Do you remember "Record Hop" on channel 11? My cousin's band was on that once.

Out of the dim memories of my ancient brain.....Come the poodle skirts of the girls, and duck-tails of the boys.

Good times, good times!

15. My cousin's band was called The Tridents
They played "Bumble Boogie" by B. Bumble and the Stingers. He was the pianist.

One of my earliest memories is of him playing that and another B. Bumble tune, "Nut Rocker," in our living room.

That was my introduction to rock 'n' roll. I was maybe 4.

Awhile back, I found a B. Bumble CD on eBay. God, the memories...
