18. Betty Slocombe was one of the characters in "Are You Being Served?"
It ran from 1972 to 1985 on British TV -- PBS stations show it endlessly. Funny, randy, probably dated stuff... Mollie Sugden was the actress. She wore brightly colored wigs and spoke about her "pussy" (a cat) endlessly.

If you happen to watch the old British shows that come on PBS. One of the characters of "Are You Being Served" is named Ms Slocum. An older snappy lady that often has colored wigs.
