More specifically, how can I filter what songs I see in iTunes?

1. iTunes and the iPod software are two different things.
Filter what you see? Like organize the music differently?

3. yea, all the songs are listed in the iTunes window
What if I want to see only songs by one band?

Is there an alternative to iTunes?

5. I display my music by artist.
Just click the Artist header and you can sort alphabetically ascending or descending.

I'm what ya call your more basic user. I've got about 1800 songs, but no more than 50 or 60 by any one artist.

I bet there's a way to do it, but we have no exceeded my knowledge. :) Plus, you beat me in the playoffs, so, :P

7. here's one way
Create playlists, but that sucks, and takes forever. You can also type up in search bar whatever band name you want, and the only songs shown should be songs by that band
