What present would you love
to get, but don't think you will?
My pick is a Bose sound system. I'd follow it with an iPod and all the nifty accessories.

20. Dear Santa, my list is not very long...
1) A ticket to a big winner Powerball pot. I want to keep helping others as well as reinvesting for a decent retirement for me and my spouse;

2) My mom to not feel as much pain in her shoulder and hope that we can live together if she wants to live with me and spouse;

3) That my past sweethearts that I may have been not so nice to forgive my misgivings..and vice-versa

4) Most of all, for the Dems to take back both of houses of Congress, and that Alito's nomination gets blocked and SDO'C (and her other 2 moderate colleagues) will be healthy and continue willing to serve on SCOTUS

And, for continuing recovery of my knee injury...

Good wishes to my fellow bloggers here at the DUL...you are so much fun and great to hang out with, even though there are so many of you I don't know. Let's add that to the list, Santa...to hope to get to know more of the DUL'ers.

16. Money.
Edited on Sat Dec-24-05 09:56 PM by tjdee
Every year I say "don't get me presents, just give me the money."

No one ever does. I started to think it was because they thought I'd be insulted with a $20 or a $10--but I really wouldn't be. I can buy gas with ten bucks. I can get a few groceries for $20.

But what the hell am I going to do with a dvd you bought because for some reason you thought I *liked* Don Knotts. :eyes:

I'd really just rather have the cash.

on edit: I think I may be cracking up, LOL. I should have answered Shah Rukh Khan dvds or a new car or something.

22. Same here.
On the surface it would seem like a cop-out to give someone cash or even a gift certificate. But I'd rather have that than a gift I'd have to take back for a refund. Give me the wampum. I'll decide how to spend it.

18. Three books:
Warblers of the Americas
Crows and Jays of the World
Sibley and Monroe's Birds of the World

And I ordered them all for myself, so I know what's in that bag under the tree. :D
