What is the dog getting for the Holidays?
Ours is getting a little bit more quality time with the peeps. One of the dog walkers stopped by with a dog bakery treat--with her name piped on it!

1. Cool avatar!
My dog "Karma" is getting to go for another walk...right now as a matter of fact! (She focused her attentions on a yummy pig's ear while the game was on, football is just not her cup of tea)

10. Caution on the Greenies..
Edited on Sun Dec-25-05 01:58 AM by rainbow4321
There was some info released on them not too long ago about dogs getting sick on Greenies...like sick enough to need surgery. It was talked about in the Pet forum here on DU. You may want to do a search in that forum about Greenies, just in case!

for our doggie. Told him I didn't want the pooch to have them. Last time he got something like that he threw up huge chunks. I'm gonna hide the package.

21. OMG that must be why my boy barfed the other day!
The vet gave him one...he rarely gets sick..it wasn't his shots that did it because I waited a few days to give him the greenie!

Good info to have

9. Meat flavored bones and new bedding for both....
Edited on Sun Dec-25-05 01:55 AM by rainbow4321
Then one gets a sweater, and both are getting a bag of treats and squeak toys. We wandered around PetSmart forever looking for stuff!

OMG, those thick, hard covered meat flavored bones, they started on them when we were opening our own presents...all that was left by the time we were done (30 minutes?) were the nubs on the end of the bones.

14. This is Ray's first Christmas with us ..
:loveya: so I'm spoiling both of my boys.

Hank got a 'stuffed tourist', a tennis ball with a 'racoon' tail attached to it, and a stuffed terry cloth snowman.

Ray got a terry cloth stuffed gingerbread man, a squeaky newspaper toy, and a koosh football (most of his front teeth were removed by the vet - they were broken/rotten from him being on his own for so long - so he can't grab onto alot of things).

And to share - a bag of peanut butter flavored flips and a bag of Dentabones.

19. Maggie's birthday was December 4.
She got this neat t-shirt ("Official Snow Dog"):

I couldn't really find her anything cool for Christmas, so she's getting a couple of new chews and her own serving of turkey, dressing, and green beans. When I'm out this week I hope to find her a pretty sweater on sale.

Maggie continues to be my best present every year.

20. my friend just adopted a really sweet dog from the pound a few weeks ago
and named "Bella da ball" so we got her a sleeve of rubber balls, she loves to chase them, the minute you get to their house she comes right up with a ball and drops in your lap, she's really sweet.
