Christmas is a good time to get together with neighbors

A good time to touch base with people on your street, offer mutual help with stuff that needs fixing, that sort of thing. Breaking out of the vacuum that results from our rat-race lifestyles, neighbors not knowing each other, etc..

Moreover, a great time to discuss current events that the media may not have touched, though not too heavy.

6. Did that yesterday
Took all the neighbors a plate of home baked goodies and spent some time with each wishing them a Merry Christmas (or Happy Holidays depending on their religion). Good neighbors are a treasure and should be appreciated.
