Chappy Chanukah!
Thank you for getting us here to this season in one piece. Now I hope I survive the next eight days with a hyperventilating gift-anticipating small boy.

2. Yes, eight crazy nights
can be quite a challenge.

My strategy is to see what the rest of the family got, then hit the stores and fill in. This year I can also take advantage of after Christmas sales, too.

6. Thank GOD! Someone who finally knows how to spell!
People keep trying to freaking correct me when I spell it Chanukah. It's so aggravating when I'm smarter than people and they don't realize it.

7. Transliterating
chet, the first letter in Chanukah, is particularly tricky since it has no direct parallel in English. I tend to prefer Hanukkah since the 'Ch' confuses people into thinking it's ch as in Charlie. (I ran into this just the other day at the office.)

Exhibit A: Chet
