He cried alone unwanted. A Christmas story.
The baby boy lay alone in his own waste. He observed the passing of light and dark. His little body struggled to live.

When he came to us he was blue. He was starving. He had diaper rash from head to toe. We, my wife and I held him close to us through the night. When daylight came we took him to the doctor. In the hospital the doctor made him well.

We had him home for Christmas; growing healthy under the care of my loving wife.

A couple of days after Christmas his mother came and took him from us. My wife was stunned and mourned for days.

One day the boys Aunt came to us. The boy is dying would you come and get him.

The same doctor made him well again. We gained custody of the little boy. Two years later a little girl came to us under better circumstances.

At family gatherings through the years since I sit in wonder at my extended family. I am related to none of them. How did it come about? This gift.

The baby boy and baby girl are now nearing forty.

But this morning it is just my wife and me.

Back where we started. Wondering.

Merry Christmas.

Ed and Pat oneighty.

1. You were blessed with many miracles.
And I would suspect that your children feel the same way, too.

Thank you for sharing this story.

4. Happy Holidays NSMA
I most enjoyed writing KAZUKO. The writing consumed many tears. I am pleased that you find it interesting.

Writing memories now. Tomorrow may be too late.

I would be proud to have a daughter such as NSMA.

Michael and I have been able to spend Christmas together. We had dinner with neighbors and saw my brother and sis-in-law last night. Couldn't ask for much more than that.

Did I E-Mail my 'KAZUKO' story to you? Seems like I did. I can not afford many printed copies until the coming spring.
