3. When I was a kid, we had a terrific bakery right down the street
You had to get there at the crack of dawn to get their doughnuts, and when they ran out, they were GONE...none of this 24 hours of indigestion fried in the same grease that somebody poured yesterday.

I miss Birk's!

9. and the cat is not
named after a fruity extremely sweet candy? It's just a coincidence? My niece wanted to name my new puppy "oreo" but I would have none of that.

11. Strictly speaking, wouldn't a warm Krispy Kreme donut be very harmful to..
....the health of a snowman. I mean they ain't all that good for any of us. But for snow-people it would be a very short lived addiction to junk food.

13. i think i have read somewhere that the carlyle group (poppy and co) was
buying up one of the donuts chains. the problem is, in can't remember which one, dunkin donuts, or krispy kreme. so, for the time being, i am having neither...don't want the bastard bushes to have any single penny of mine that they don't need to have (whatever they get from me will be from the taxes they collect).
