1. I gave my sister a set of knives and a bladder for her Camelbak
my Dad a Sacramento Kings t shirt, LeftyKid a Darth Vader cape and some new socks and underpants. I mailed a box of homemade vegan sweets to my sweetie.

When I see my mom and her husband I have a Home Depot giftcard for them, since they're DIY remodeling.

2. Ah, a much better question! I like giving, it's more
fun than getting.

Nothing great this year, some good (adult, though not x-rated) comics for my sister and her hubby. Some of my best gifts were given years ago, to my dad.

4. Did you keep the stuff you got for the chick that dumped you? I did that
one year... bought the fella I was seeing some uggs and a cashmere sweater. We broke up and I kept the sweater for myself and traded the uggs in for a new pair for myself!

No sense giving people things sometimes.

5. No. I had it wrapped up allready.
I just dropped it off at her place yesterday where she coldly greeted me, but squealed with joy when I handed her the gifts. I try to do the right thing at Xmas,I guess.
Text messaged her this morning to thank her for the gift she gave me, with no reply. She's not answering her phone.
I cant wait till January 2nd gets here.

6. We bought mattresses for our kids.
They've been sleeping on air mattresses for a few months. I bought the family a few movies.
Gave my father a gift of time...I found *the* drug prescription program that's supposed to save him a bunch of $$$$.
I *think* I got his bill down to around a third of what he had been spending a month on his meds.
Also gave the parents gift cards from Lowe's.
Bought husband's grandmother some new house shoes.
Husband and I didn't exchange gifts this year so that we could buy what we did for others.
We don't mind, it's not the first time we've had to do that. :)

7. If your dad is on Medicare, he should be covered starting
Jan. 1st for $2500 per year. After that, he has to pay up until $5000 and then it kicks in again.

My FIL takes an enormous amount of medications, and this is going to be huge for him (and us)

17. I gave the triplets pajamas, robes and slippers....
They left the house last evening wearing all three...ready for bed and for Santa to come.

As well as toys and books and a Leap Pad. To the grownups, I gave various things. Not as interesting as what I gave to 5-year-olds.

Blimey, but she's a lovely bird!

Hi!

I'm much better, thanks, and looking to becoming all I can be as soon as my body can manage. No tree or anything here -- relatives all sick, anyway, so I stayed in my place -- but still very happy. And I did just see your tree -- I love it, and I love that someone sent it to you!

I hope that this coming year brings about a cornucopia of positive changes, and that includes for you to get back to where you once belonged, Jojo. Though, of course, getting back only with the additional wisdom and grace cultivated during the intervening time...'cos life's about to get better than ever.

:loveya:

33. not as much as i wanted to
daddy got a dvd recorder, 10 blank discs, a bottle of johnny walker black, an albert einstein action figure, a stuffed frida kahlo, a bar of his favorite soap and a box of his favorite licorice

seester got pikmin 2, animal crossing, a barista action figure (she's worked in coffee shops for the last 6 or 7 years), an absolutely awful awesome pair of pants, an obnoxious orange t-shirt that said washington state pine cone park and a magnet that says 'does my fat ass make my ass look fat?'

and of course, they both got my fantastic matzo ball soup

my love gets new year's eve in black hawk, complete with no nagging about how much poker he plays

i think the best present was the magnet

39. It was a lean Christmas this year
In light of the fact that I'm moving soon, so I only gave to my niece and nephew. He got the Shrek Chia Pet (that's what he asked for, oddly enough). She got two outfits. Fortunately she is still young enough that she isn't disappointed by clothes. I visited in September and recall not being able to even see the carpet in the living room as it was wall to wall toys, so I figured there was no need to add to the collection. I knew "Santa" would be giving her and her brother enough as it was.
