My Brothers 6 Viszla's. (Hungarian hunting dogs)

Here's the clan, waiting for a milk bone. Getting them to stand still was like....well...herding Viszla's! Clockwise from the very top (The old dog) Kore, Diesel, Maya, Devi, Loki and Belle. Kore is going on 11 years old but the matriarch of the group is most definitely Maya although her position is being challenged by Loki. They are very cool dogs, very loving and affectionate.

3. Kore is REALLY sweet......

She is getting up there and has slowed down quite a bit, has cataracts and some benign skin tumors but she is very loving and good natured. Loki will give you a hug....truly...he stands on his hind legs and puts his front legs on either side of your hips and hugs!

mom had a viszla after i left home, but we also had a weim when i was growing up. similar dogs, one red, one grey, both hyper as all get out. great dogs, but not for someone who doesn't have a lot of room for them to run...

9. No doubt they need room to run....

and they do here. My brother has 20 acres in Lee county, FL and to watch these dogs run and run flat out for an hour is amazing. There is a small pond on the property so of course, it is a favorite place.

10. Thanks. They are gorgeous,

The little female, Devi can be pretty wound up as can Diesel but letting them out to have a gallup for a half hour usually takes it out of them. Of course, then it is time to come and get some lovin so their heads end up on any lap that's handy!
