a little down tonight...

very happy to be with the larger family today


but xmas has always been special for me. i get kinda corny around this time a year...

but my wife is with her family 4 states away due to a sudden diagnosis of my father-in-law with kindey cancer. they just had an operation to remove it.. but positive spread detected in the lungs. she is there, as she should be. I am here, because i am sick and have work.


very happy to have my parents, sister, aunts, uncles, etc...

but still.. coming home tonight alone makes the reality of mortality set in, and why my wife is not with me tonight.

kinda depressing. plus the codine cough syrup is not helping the mood.


anywho.... glad i have my DU friends.

hope you all had a great holiday. i feel a little jipped. but also feel like a bastard for complaining. there are so many more who don't have it as good as i.

i guess i just needed to vent.
