18. Neuros are nice...
But they use laptop hard drives, so they're kinda big, yeah? I was considering getting one. Now I've decided to cave, throw my principles aside and get an ipod. *hangs head in shame*

19. laptop hard drives?? They are a little big to go jogging with, but
if you need one to listen to while in on your commute to work, they're great. iPods are way overpriced..

They use laptop hard drives instead of microdrives like ipods and the like. I measured the dimensions given on the website a while back, it's about the size of a Game Boy Advance, so it's not huge by any stretch of the imagination. Just a little bulky.

22. They are a little bulky, but the price and features outweigh everything
on the market. I bought mine because of the gb storage and the built in FM transmitter. I use to drive a truck cross country. I would load this baby up with audio books and never run out of listening pleasure. It comes with a 12 volt plug in..

13. I was given an Ipod Shuffle
for Christmas. I could never have afforded one on my own. Now I have to get all the music onto it!! It's not going to be used constantly, though, as I don't go out that much, but it will help ease the long drives from mid Mass to western Mass when I take them. The only thing I am planning on changing is that I won't drive with the double earphones--I'll use a single earphone, or pipe it through the radio. It can be too much of a hazard to be partially deaf to the sounds around you.

14. My wife uses her iPod shuffle to listen to the audio books she gets
at our local library. Here is a couple books you'll enjoy and trust me, the miles will fly by on your long drives.

Audio Book by: JOHN GRISHAM

THE LAST JUROR
Read by: Terrence Mann

In 1970. One of Mississippi’s more colorful
weekly newspapers, The Ford County Times,
went bankrupt. To the surprise and dismay
of many, ownership was assumed by a twenty-
three-year-old college dropout name Willie
Traynor. The future of the paper looked grim
until a young mother was brutally raped and
murdered by a member of the notorious Padgitt
family. Willie Traynor reported all the gruesome
details, and his newspaper began to prosper.

The murderer, Danny Padgitt, was tried before
a packed courthouse in Clanton, Mississippi. The
trial came to a startling and dramatic end when
the defendant threatened revenge against the
jurors if they convicted him. Nevertheless, they
found him guilty, and he was sentenced to life
in prison.

But in Mississippi in 1970, “life” didn’t necessarily
mean “life,” and nine years later Danny Padgitt
managed to get himself paroled. He returned to
Ford County, and the retribution began.

A Painted House
Read by: David Lansbury

The hill people and the Mexicans arrived on the same day. It was Wednesday, early in September 1952. The Cardinals were five games behind the Dodgers with three weeks to go, and the season looked hopeless. The cotton, however, was waist-high to my father, over my head, and he and my grandfather could be heard before supper whispering words that were seldom heard. It could be a good crop.

Thus begins the new novel from John Grisham, a story inspired by his own childhood in rural Arkansas. The narrator is a farm boy named Luke Chandler, age seven, who lives in the cotton fields with his parents and grandparents in a little house that’s never been painted. The Chandlers farm eighty acres that they rent, not own, and when the cotton is ready they hire a truckload of Mexicans and a family from the Ozarks to help harvest it.

For six weeks they pick cotton, battling the heat, the rain, the fatigue, and sometimes each other. As the weeks pass Luke sees and hears things no seven-year-old could possibly be prepared for, and finds himself keeping secrets that not only threaten the crop but will change the lives of the Chandlers forever.

A Painted House is a moving story of one boy’s journey from innocence to experience.

Run Time: Approx. 5 hours on 5 CD’s

17. 60gb photo Ipod here
and I love the thing. The only thing I wish that apple would put in the program is a SIMPLE way to tell your puter to add what you want to add instead of synching the whole damn thing everytime. It's way too easy to lose songs.

30. I have a question
I got my daughter an inexpensive player, but of course she wants an Ipod. So, how do you add songs to a Nano? Can you download stuff you already have on your computer, or do you have to buy from Itunes?

Thanks to anyone who can help :)

32. Set iTunes to manual load
I'm at work (and very hard at it, as you can see), so I can't click around and find the route. But when I set up mine, I chose the manual options in order not to lose music. Especially since after loading a CD into the iPod, I'd delete it off the Mac.

23. Well you know......I was super surprised when he...
...started hinting over the Summer that he wanted an iPod. He would always roll his eyes when I
would mention how great my Apple products were.
He loves his new iPod...he has already downloaded tons of music and pictures.
We bought him the 60GB Black with his nickname inscribed on the back.
