I'm on a two-day earworm:
(Death Cab For Cutie.)

I want to live where soul meets body
And let the sun wrap its arms around me
And bathe my skin in water cool and cleansing
And feel, feel what its like to be new

Cause in my head there’s a greyhound station
Where I send my thoughts to far off destinations
So they may have a chance of finding a place
where they’re far more suited than here

I cannot guess what we'll discover
We turn the dirt with our palms cupped like shovels
But I know our filthy hand can wash one another’s
And not one speck will remain

I do believe it’s true
That there are roads left in both of our shoes
If the silence takes you
Then I hope it takes me too
So brown eyes I hold you near
Cause you’re the only song I want to hear
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere

Where soul meets body
Where soul meets body
Where soul meets body

I do believe it’s true
That there are roads left in both of our shoes
If the silence takes you
Then I hope it takes me too
So brown eyes I hold you near
Cause you’re the only song I want to hear
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere

1. At least it's a good tune.
Good band, too. At least their first major label cd didn't suck. :)

2. It IS good, isn't it? The tune caught me first, then the lyrics.
I'm impressed with their words. I feel like I've known this song forever, but obviously I haven't.

3. I saw them almost 4 years ago at a showcase by their old indie label.
They weren't my favorite band of the night, but I remember thinking they were going places. They just had that look and sound about them. To think, I ended up at at that bar by accident. Happy accident. :)

5. Neat! I saw David Gray open for Radiohead some years ago, before most
people really knew who he was. Years before that I saw Firehouse open for Warrant, but I prefer not to recall that so much!

9. Oh my...the things parents do for their kids.
Thankfully I only inflicted my music on my parents at home.

10. Get thee to iTunes!
There's been a lot of good music made in the last ten years, but it sure as hell isn't on the radio. Unless you count WOXY of course.
