I'm crying right now
Just got a new flat screen, and someone turned the florescent lights on in my office "so we can tell you're at work today!" The combination of eye-killers is BRUTAL.

Turned off the florescents, which stopped the tears, but the pain is still there.

Shouldn't the new flat screen HELP eye strain? Any suggestions for eye pain?

2. It looks great to me - what would make it easier on the eyes?
I've been in pain since I got it, but objectively, the picture looks fine.

3. Patiod, those awful people!
I think the best suggestion is to leave work for the rest of the week and proceed immediately to the nearest shoe store! :woohoo:

6. For some reason the florescent lights at DSW are so soothing
It's amazing, isn't it?

9. Ahhhhh. Retail therapy.
>It's amazing, isn't it?<

Oh, it is.

I was amazed to discover how soothing the lighting at Tiffany is, too. The nice employees don't even mind browsers. :woohoo:

4. Try using a natural tear drop...
You are most likely not blinking enough causing your eyes some strain and dryness. They sell natural tears at grocery stores and at drug stores.

Good luck!

5. Do you wear glasses? I'm supposed to, but never wear them, and I
have the same problem. When it gets really bad, I wear my glasses for a few days and then I'm fine. Wearing them all the time like I'm supposed to would probably help even more. But then, that would make sense so of course I can't do that. ;)

7. I have dry eyes, so I can't wear contacts!
Right now, I'm reduced to squinting at the monitor to keep the eyes wet enough. Not fun.

8. I said nothing of contacts. : )
I just bump into things all the time because I can't wear them either. (Because I refuse to stick something into my eyeball, not for a real reason).

I feel for you--dry eyes are no good at all. Clearly, as someone suggested already, your only option is to go home for the day. :D

10. Glasses
>Wearing them all the time like I'm supposed to would probably help even more<

Wearing my glasses would signify that I have finally admitted to myself that I'm getting older. I'm not sure I'm ready for that.
