GLBTQ DUers: I'm looking for a good lesbian or GLBTQ message board.
Hopefully populated by people who can write in complete sentences. Who aren't there only to hook up or discuss fashion or entertainment. Who can discuss politics and life intelligently.

Know of any?

Thanks :hi:

1. You might try planetout.com - I'm not sure if they have chat rooms or

not. I'm in the same boat. There aren't a lot of lesbians that are that politically informed or interested (but I'm probably luckier than a lot of folks because I'm in L.A and there are at least some folks to chat with).

3. I don't know of any message boards unfortunately
You may have some luck finding large "groups" on MSN Groups or Yahoo! Groups. However you have to do some real digging, and it's hit or miss quite often with them. I know Gay.com has chat rooms, but I haven't been there for years so I have no clue if any of them are political in nature. :shrug:

6. Queer
generically: gay or lesbian;

or, anyone who identifies other than straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual (for example, transgendered).

10.  i often just think the word "queer" should be used to cover...
...the whole GLBTQ spectrum-- i.e, not straight.

Some older activists told me that they're not comfortable with queer, and that's understandable, given that that term HAS been used negatively. But man, saying "GLBTQ" a million times in a sentence is tough sometimes to say right.

im bi, if that makes any difference.

11. you & sundog...
I haven't the slightest idea of how to keep one thriving. Lots of places offer the tools & free hosting, but how to keep it thriving, how to "recruit" (wink-wink nudge-nudge), etc., all that has me vexed.
