My mom decided to get a Honda Element
2005. Orange. 4WD.

And it *barely* fits in the garage! :D

Nothing but good times ahead!

1. I love my Element, seriously....
It is the most useful car I have ever had, I love having no carpet and the option of turning it into a modified delivery van. I love the gas mileage, the simplicity, and the fact that most of America thinks it's butt-ugly (I don't know why I love that but I do).

I have hauled more stuff in that car than I could ever have imagined including: Cinder blocks (2"x 16"x8") 100 of them, bags of potting soil and a shit-load of flowers, moved a 6' bookcase and a bunch of other things, ladders, three windows and a door, 9' of wrought iron fencing. I clean it with a broom and wipe it down with a rag. I'm sold on it and will keep mine until the lease runs out and buy another one.

They marketed this car for young men and were completely off, it is made for older people who don't need the style of the car to validate them. It works.

2. Cool!
We're looking forward to many good times in it!

It's my mom's, but I want one too!

Hopefully she'll let me borrow it. :D

3. Yes, a good friend of mine just bought one, and he loves it....
...he lives in the country, on a farm type setting, and he says it is very useful...

4. The "on demand 4WD" is a
treat! I have been through all kinds of snow in it and never had any trouble. I'm not an off-road type but it seems like it would be too low for that.

I did camp out in it one night and it was great. If you have an aero bed you can put the seats up and the back will take a twin at least with room to spare. It was cool to be laying in bed and looking up at the stars through the skylight.

Honestly I like it soooooo much I could sell these things.

:D

What I would really like though is for them to offer it in a hybrid. That would make it perfect.

5. I was hoping a hybrid would magically come forth
for 2006, but no dice. :(

7. I want one of those :P
I just love the whole design and concept. It may not be beautiful, but when it comes to small SUV's, it's got the most S and U of any of 'em :P

8. Sweet. Mine's an '04 Orange!
She'll LOVE it.

What's interesting to me is I see more and more E's around - and I'm in a very small town. Honda hardly markets them at ALL - so they practically sell themselves. I know 2 people that have bought them since they've been introduced to mine. It's funny - people don't like them at all - until you flip open your suicide doors and show them all the headroom, cargo space, lack of carpet, how the back seats flip up in an instant, etc ..... then, suddenly, they're kinda cool after all! :)

Xema - check out www.elementownersclub.com - very useful.

We took it for a longer drive yesterday
and I was sitting in the back seat as happy as a clam.

There's a LOT of space back there! I have long legs, and I could really stretch out.

Thanks for the link! :hi:
