I am freeeezing!
Our forecasted 1-3 inches of snow is turning out to be considerably more than that, so I went outside to put my car in the garage. There was so much damn snow on the car that the windshield wipers wouldn't move, and I hadn't brought a scraper (or put on gloves) so I tried to use a sandal I found in the car to clear the snow. stupid. I got snow up my pants, up my sleeves, in my face, and now I can't get warm. My hands are like ice. So are my toes. If I drink anymore coffee to warm up, I'm going to become a human percolator. That's all.:nopity:

1. Nothing beats a hot shower
or a nice bath to warm up.

Plus taking a hot shower after you've been out in the cold (the longer the better) is one of life's most sublime joys.

I hate the dry skin part though.

2. In a way, I wish I could trade with ya for a few minutes so we
could both solve our problems. My aunt won't let my turn the a/c on. It's 55 degrees outside here, but the sun has really heated the place up despite all the blinds being closed. I'm hot today.

6. At this very moment, I'd love that.
Next week, I am liable to be complaining about cold weather again. I really should start looking at Hawaii as a possible place to move one day. My aunt was stationed there and swears up and down that I'd love it. I've never been to Hawaii. Have you?

19. Goddam snow emergencies
Careful just cranking the wipers to break through heavy wet snow--I busted mine doing that. And why the fuck can't Minneapolis and St. Paul come together on a comprehensive goddam parking policy for snow emergencies? I don't want to calculate my latitude and longitude to decide whether or not I can parallel park.

21. Come on down to North Georgia. No snow or ice here.
It was bright and sunny and in the mid-50s today. Right now it is 50 degrees, but it feels quite a bit warmer. I have my windows open, though I will have to close them because it is supposed to drop down to the 40s tonight, but then go into the 60s tomorrow.
