Who else got an expresso maker for Xmas

I bought my wife one for Xmas.I'm not much of a coffe drinker but I was cold today so I made myself a big cup.Now I knowwhy you get those tiny little cups,I'm really awake now WOW that is some strong stuff.I imagine I'll be able to sleep by New years Day.

1. I got one for my birthday in the summer. And yes, you're not supposed to

drink it by the gallon... there IS a reason why it's made in those tiny cups!!!!

Mine has replaced my regular coffee now, although I can get little cafe americain pouches for a less strong brew.

5. Fuck the machines

My stovetop percolator is king--no maintenance, no worries. But you need a good consistent burr grinder or else your varying grinds will yield coffee of varying goodness. You grind wrong and you can get supremely vile coffee from a percolator.

6. I got myself a combo machine last year by redeeming a gift card

It makes coffee on one side and espresso on the other. Four-shot lattes are one of my addictions

. However, I generally choose decaf so I can avoid bouncing off the walls and frequent trips to the loo
