How are you today? I hope you had a GREAT weekend! Here begins the first work week of 2006! Mine began yesterday, actually, and it was a DOOZY. We began our big Clearance sale and we had people lined up outside the door to get in! Our general manager was there for a few minutes and when she saw there were so many waiting to get in, she made us open 15 minutes early. x( So began one of the craziest days I've had! People were arguing..."Hey, that's mine!" and everyone wanted my attention all at the same time. Let me just say that when I finally locked the door at the end of the day, I was never so glad to hear that lock click into place! That was MY New Years Day.

Hopefully, today will be much better!

Thank you. They were crazy yesterday, that's for sure. And on New Years Day no less.

And considering the typical pay, I highly doubt I ever will be again. When I go job hunting I'm going to try to avoid what I'm currently in now just because I need a change after 18 years and the pay is typically so low. However if I find something with decent enough pay and nothing better with similar pay I will take it.

If you are looking to get rich, retail is NOT the field to go into. I'd like to find a new job that pays more.

had a good weekend though seeking sage advise Capt, hubby's old running buddy manages a complex of detached, gated rental properties and sent us this 'its 1400sq ft and all that, the rest sounds doable and just where the hell is this Jacuzzi? Backyard and is completely private? Also has a fire place. 2 full bathrooms, 1 with tub/shower (guest), 1 with large wakin shower only (master bdrm.) $1175 a month'

seems like a good deal to us plenty of room for studio, compu/music/instrument room and Tim, we can go through a grant process and SAG will have bona fide, pre-selected theater folk from NYC or wherever come and pony-up in the extra room for half the rent when they're out here for production runs :D

If you're asking whether I think you should move or not...I am ALWAYS for more room...but $1,175 a month sounds extreme. IF you can afford that rent, and you like the area and the floor plan (go see it first hand before making a decision), then I say go fot it! Here's something else to think about...BUY! If you buy a house, your mortgage payment wouldn be anywhere NEAR that much. Rent doesn't get you anything except a roof over your head. All your money goes to someone else. If you BUY...all your money goes back to YOU.

i want the room, but he is going the buy route; well, we both want the room, but that was what hubby said, "for that much money i'll buy a house" thanks Clint :hug:
