and prevent me from saying something I shouldn't. That's why, in this hypothetical situation, I'd tell an attorney first and only.

What would you do to protect you offspring.

Would you prohibit the search?

Ten seconds to decide.

6. I'd contact an attorney and get his/her advice.
Edited on Mon Jan-02-06 07:29 AM by Heidi
I wouldn't need to think any further than that. Really. (And nope, I'm not an attorney.)

Edit to clarify: If I knew in advance that a search were to be conducted, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to contact an attorney.

the gov't.
I had not the fortitude to resist.

I granted them the permision to search,

17. even if they didn't have a warrant -
they could still bust in. the 4th amendment has been considerably eroded enough so that probable cause can practically mean anything the officer says.

welcome to the police state!

welcome to the life most minorities have always known.

18. i made the mistake of asking cops
"where's your warrant?" when they were knocking on the door.

the one responded: "we don't need a FUCKING WARRANT" and they proceeded to smash the door in.

about 10 cops swarmed in, forced me and my brother on the floor and stuck guns in our heads, whereupon i watched one of the officers proceed to beat my brother about the head with his fists (they wanted him).

they threw him down the stairs and took him to the pig pen. before he got there, the one cop beat the living shit out him behind the middle school while my brother was in the back seat HANDCUFFED.

when they got to the station, about 5 or 6 officers beat him in the parking lot until he was unconscious. they had to take him to the emergency room..

meanwhile, at the house, they were trying to figure out some kind of charge to take me in on. they ended up letting me out of the cuffs.

this was all on a beautiful sunday morning.

19. Let's pretend that they aren't reading this.
I weep for you and your brother.

Hey Agent Mike - fuck you.

I'm out on the highway and I'm drivin' down the road and I
run out of gasoline. I pull over to the side of the road. They
gotta pull over too - make believe that they ran out, you
know.

I go to get some gasoline. They have to figure out whether
they should stick with the car or follow me. Suppose I don't
come back and they're stayin' with the car.

Or if I fly on the airplanes, I could fly half fare because I'm 12
to 22. And they gotta pay the full fare. But the thing is that
when you pay the full fare, you have to get on the airplane
first, so that they know how many seats are left over for the
half fare kids. Right? And sometimes there aren't any seats
left over, and sometimes there are, but that doesn't mean that
you have to go.
