Any suggestions to keep critters out of my container garden?
I have about a half-dozen plants in containers outside my front door. Some critter that I assume is a cat keeps digging into one of these containers; placing its scat there and scattering the dirt all around. Any safe suggestions to keep this critter away from my poor agapanthus?

1. Chili powder
sprinkle in the dirt around the plants that were bothered.

3. If not that, human hair works for some animals
collect hair clippings, put them in a nylon stocking, and tie them near the plants. Deer and rabbits dont like the smell of people and will stay away.

4. Hair I have in spades
I have hair that hangs below my waist - collecting enough to place outside won't be a problem!

I just cleaned up and sprinkled with chili powder per your suggestion. My agapanthus smells delicious!

6. screenwire/chicken wire "skirts"
lay it around the plants and anchor with rock or soil.. If they cannot dig, they won;t use it for a bathroom :)
