6. as far as being fired
or being head coach in Minnesota?

There is a buzz about Jim Fassel coming to Minnesota to be the Vikings head coach (but I will believe that when I see it).

Mike Tice got fired right after the game yesterday.

coaches fired today:

Mike Sherman
Jim Haslett
Dom Capers
Mike Martz

15. Yep
Oh, and Dick Vermeil is retiring, and it is rumored that Herm Edwards will either be fired or step down tomorrow, and take the Kansas City job.

If so, the NFC North should be very, very afraid.

21. So you are happy that his poor children will now starve?!?!
Think of the pain they will go through having to adjust to life without a multi-million dollar contract!

Then again, he'll probably get hired by the Saints or Raiders. They like bottom feeding.

22. I am sure he will find another coaching job
perhaps not a head coach position, but he was a pretty decent offensive line coach.

23. He seemed like a good coach at first
But he lost it, or just lost the team, over time. He might be good when he gets his next team. I just hope it isn't the Cowboys.

24. I think his problem is that he is too busy being friends with his players
to actually coach them. His credibility as an authority is undermined by that, and by the ticket scalping thing.

so we could happy-dance together.

But I don't feel like dancing today, because they fired my coach. :(

I have been wanting them to do this for YEARS...

Sorry about your coach though. And sorry about your QB (I know he has not announced but I would not be surprised).

And happy belated birthday!

27. I've missed you, KW.
We shall see what happens. Personally, I'm hoping they'll fire the GM.

Now, maybe the Vikes can become a team I can admire again.
Yes, true confession: I have been a Vikings fan - a very hopeful, yet disappointed Vikings fan. And I had a crush on Fran Tarkenton when I was a wee lass.

 Can I bear the shame?

28. Wow
that is a confession.

I have missed the greatness of the Purple People Eater days. I think Zygi Wilf is an upstanding owner, and will not put up with the overall thuggishness and terrible behavior that previous owners were happy to look the other way for, and I believe he will hire a coach that will be in line with his philosophy for the team. In fact, I think he never intended to have Tice stay on past this year to begin with.

I loved Fran too...He is still a hottie in my book.
