I'm looking to book a Vegas vacation.

On one hand, the Algonquin Hotel denied our reservation so they could honor those of the full-pay guests.

On the other hand, they booked us into another hotel a block away, we got a refund of the money we paid the Algonquin, and no one every charged us for the 2nd hotel!!!

Don't know if this works in Vegas, but once I get a rate from an online booking place, I've found I can often get a better rate by calling the hotel directly.

3. Check out Sidestep and Kayak

(just add the http:// in front and .com on the end)

They don't sell travel but search all the travel sites out there to find your best price!
