Morning DU Debate: Best David Bowie Song and Album
I'm on a David Bowie kick. Probably because I hung out at DUer Ramsey's house last night and she is the ultimate David Bowie fan (although we weren't listening to Bowie at the time).

So today's question: Best Bowie Album and Best song.

I would have to say the best Bowie Album would have to be my personal favorite: Hunky Dory.

I'm still thinking about the best Bowie song.

1. Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
To be played at maximum volume.

Best song? Impossible to say but it's on that album.

2. I love Ziggy but there is something so playfully mischievous about
Hunky Dory that I tend to lean towards that as the best Bowie album

3. my choices
Best album: The Man Who Sold the World, but I haven't listened to it in a while.

Best song: The Gnome Song. "What's that ticking?" "That's my brother. He's a metroGnome." Best lyric ever.

5. Can't choose just one of either.
Albums: Low, Scary Monsters

Songs: "Life On Mars?", "The Man Who Sold The World", "Sorrow", "I'm Deranged", "Heroes", "Sound and Vision"...it's REALLY impossible to pick out one...or even just a few.

Ashes to Ashes (song). I still remember a 'Young Ones' episode where they are graveside and the priest starts the ceremony with "ashes to ashes" and one of the guys blurts out "funk to funky, we know Major Tom's a junkie".....

7. I absolutely love Hunky Dory and my favorite song on the album
is Life on Mars. Even though I was a baby when this album was released, it is one that I listen to all the time.

9. "The Laughing Gnome"
My favorite, by far, since I was ten years old.

And I sing the refrain when I shoot past police officers at illegal speeds -- so far, it's worked:

"Ha ha ha, hee hee hee...I'm the laughing gnome and you can't catch me!"
