Democratic Underground Has New Moderators!

As usual, we had a good response to our call for moderators, and it was extremely difficult to narrow the field down. We had to turn down a number of very qualified people. We hope that everyone who applied to serve as a moderator this turn will consider applying again next term.

A moderator switch is always a little chaotic, so I want to apologize in advance for any problems that may arise over the next few days. Thank you for your understanding.

I don't know all of them them, but:

dwickham - the first person to welcome me to DU, a mainstay of DU, and his sense of humour is nearly as wicked as mine.

flaming youth - cool fun to hang with

Empress of all - least modish of all mods. Hard to think of her as an authourity figure..... but she does her job.


The Magistrate - hard to not think of him being a mod. The scariest man on DU. Even the other mods fear him. He's never nasty, he's exucriately polite. And it's terrifying! But he's a sweetheart, really.

A quick introduction.... you'll get to know the others.

The old ones have proven themselves, the new ones look promising.

And thank you to those who are retiring - we may have had our differences but I never doubted their honesty or integrity. They did a good job. May the new mods carry their banner forward.
