Got tired of those commercials for Cleo, the psychic adviser.

Back in the old days, before Robert Johnson got really hungry for money, they had some good news and public service programming. Anyone remember Bev Smith's show? Ed Gordon was good on the news, too.

It just seemed like music videos, and the 87th rebroadcast of very old sitcoms.

Not that TV One is much different.

Oh I can't think of it.Do you talk like a homeboy?Kathy griffin did a whole bit on it.Wasn't very funny,but she's a redhead so I watch anyway.

I just meant that it gets pidgeon-holed and kind of made fun of as a 'black' station, which of course it is -BET- but it's a good, all-round station, and I, as a white person, like a lot of their programming. But hasn't Tavis gone 'mainstream'? I think I saw him on network.

8. Tavis has had a talk show on PBS for a long while

though I thought he had recently quit it. He also used to do Tom Joyner's show, too.

When I catch it always seems to be either Bruce Bruce or that female comedian with the "friend named Alexis that looks more like a buick." I forget her name.
