So... in 36 hours I'll be Mrs. Bergman
Not an amazing feat until you realize that nine years ago, I was Mrs. Odtallah.

OK - my first husband was Palestinian. My second, well, BERGMAN... figure it out.

I'm pleased as punch because I finally met the right guy.

My first was, well, a jerk, but I don't hold that against Muslims since his family sided with me during the divorce because he cheated on. Get this - in this day and age, I actually filed and won a divorce on grounds of adulty (can you TELL I'm Catholic, yet?)

I'm a Southerner, born and bred. My intended was born in South Africa and lived in Boston, Brooklyn and Baltimore before his family moved to Tennessee (my state!) for his Dad to be a big researcher at ORNL.

He's everything I ever wanted. Can it be this good?

Bleever thinks that when Wes Clark is president I should be a natural for the UN.

Heh. ;)

I'm happy and scared and nervous and in love.

God bless, or what ever.... DU.

I wanted to make a joke about Ingmar, but I'm far too lazy.

12. See below about my Grandma.
She looked JUST LIKE Ingrid Bergman when she was in her 20s.

Gives me goosebumps.

Your congrats are lovely.

13. Neat!
Know what's funny? Despite having worked together and having very similar names, Ingrid and Ingmar apparently weren't at all related.

And a  right back at you.

14. My honey says "Bergman" in Sweden is like "Smith" here.
Makes perfect sense!

(And I read your post incorrectly at first. I know who both are!)

15. Haha, it does make sense...
And I probably should know that stuff, my mom's family is of Swedish descent, apparently.

Haha, no worries about the misread, I managed to work with it anyway, haha. :P

11. P.S. I don't know how much this counts, but

all my good fortune - a great new job and a wonderful man - happened within weeks of my Grandma's death.

My Mom wants me to wear the "borrowed and old" from my Grandma's jewels because I think my Grandma went to Heaven raisin' Cain! She wanted a decent job and a good man for her grandbaby.

How should I thank her?

I'm not the most Christian person in the world, but I am Spiritual.

18. How should you thank her?

I'm betting she would be happy with "happily ever after" for you. But I also bet your Grandma is smiling ear to ear knowing you are happy. I would go with wearing at least one piece of grandma's jewelry, would at least make your mom happy. Here's hoping you and Gavin have a beautiful wedding day and a very long happy life together. Tell Ramzey congrats too, he has even more people to look out for him and love him.

I was married to a "creep" the first time and the second time was a charm----Just remember don't wear rose colored glasses--sometimes individuals fall into what a wife is supposed to be or husband. Don''t fall into the trap. Your still who you are and he is stil who he is--don't role play each other. In March, my hubby and me will have been married thirty years and still going strong. We've had our ups and downs, but that's because of trying to fultill preconceived roles of what a husband, wife, mother, father are supposed to be. Get over that and it's a cake walk!!!! Just be yourself--who your supposed to be.

22. New news!
The Palenstian bro-in-law said he is so happy

Yes... I called Jordan to get approval, not permission.

But, I have blessings all around.
