1. both were pretty good and i'd recommend either.

i thought that 40 year old virgin was more consistently funny and stuck to the theme. wedding crashers has really funny moments but devolves into sort of a predictable, and a little unbeleiveable, love story as it moves along.

I've heard that it is good.
40 YOV is really good.

Ran into my boss in the bathroom earlier and he said that 40 YOV is better than Weddding Crashers but that Wedding Crashers is worth a look.

8. _Wedding Crashers_

Well, I'm probably posting this after you've already rented, but I just wanted to put in my support for Wedding Crashers. I saw both films last summer and found this one to be much funnier and the better movie overall. It got tagged as being some sort of gross-out film, but it actually isn't that raunchy; in fact, 40 Year Old Virgin seemed to have more gross-out humor in it. And yeah, Wedding Crashers does get a little mushy towards the end, but I think that "works" with the movie. And hey, it's got Rachel McAdams in it. :-) So, FWIW I vote for Wedding Crashers.
