I took LeftyKid sledding today (pic inside)

The snow line was much higher than I expected after all the rain we had last week, so we had to go higher up than our usual sledding hill. That's where we ran into trouble. You see, I didn't realize that the frozen creek I was walking on wasn't frozen all the way down, but I found out the hard way. I think my toes will thaw eventually but we had to cut our sledding trip short.

LeftyKid had a good time anyhow and that's the important thing. :D

We didn't get to go sledding yet, it was cold for a month before Christmas and then it all melted! Hopefully there will be plenty more snow. I still haven't used my snowshoes yet.

9. Have fun skating!

What's a good age to teach a kid to ice skate? LeftyKid can roller skate so I was thinking maybe he could try it soon, but I was worried maybe he's too young (not quite 5.)

11. One of my friends started her daughter at three!

I think mine tried it at four or five. You can give him a folding chair, and let him use it to hang on to. They just push it across the ice and it gives them a base of support so they don't tip over.
