Good Friday Morning, Everybody!
:donut::hi:
I hope all you Nighthawks had a fun night! Captain Clintmax of the Early Morning Crew with you now and I'm ready to get this Friday the 13th started! :bounce:

One more work shift today and the weekend will be upon us, so have you made any big plans? I myself have to work all weekend but I can be with you in spirit in whatever activity you're going to be engaged in! We have inventory on Sunday, so we're going to be very busy at my store for the next three days.

I have a contractor showing up in about 1 hour. So my day will be spent telling the parrots You're okay. The job starting today will be done by tomorrow night.

I'll be glad to see the end of the rest of this phase of renovations in a few months.

3. Good morning Clint!
I've been sooooo bad. I went out last night on an urge and bought not one but two more books (in addition to the one I bought just a week ago). I need to be spanked. :spank:

"Xanadu". One of those songs I have such fond memories of, but won't admit in public. :rofl:

5. Morning, Miss Buffy!
:hi::hug:
Why is buying TWO books being sooo bad? I love to read too and I've been known to come home with two or even three at a time!

"Xanadu" is one of those movies that is so bad it's good! The music throughout, though, is excellent...especially the main theme! You're not the only one who feels the way you do!

But I got the book bug (plus Borders keeps giving me those darn coupons) so I wielded to temptation and bought again. :blush: Oh well, there are far worse things I could blow money on.

there ARE worse things to blow money on. But, it's not like you are spending hundreds of dollars on some electronic equipment or something. Just a small amount on a couple of books. You'll get lots of enjoyment out of them I'm sure.

10. There was some controversy over it...
The Governor's Square theater was going to show it and a few people protested it and management decided against running it. Isn't it nice that a few people can dictate what the rest of the population can and can NOT see at the theater? :grr::mad:

18. My family is from Florida, Clintmax....
...Brooksville, to be exact. And when we used to go visit our family down there, that had to be the most redneck place I've ever visited in my life. Northern Florida, isn't much different than southern Georgia or Alabama. Redneck city. I'm not surprised they wouldn't show it there. From visiting family in Florida for the past 41 years, I've learned that one has to at least get to Tampa, before a fraction of liberalism is involved. Sorry you are living in that environment.

21. Isn't it funny how state capitals in the South are many times a dot of....
...blue in a sea of red? I live in Nashville. It hasn't had a Repug. mayor since reconstruction. But everywhere around it is red. Of course, I don't have the options you do. You could always go south in Florida, to reach more liberalism, but in Tennessee, Nashville is a redoubt against the wingers. There's no place else to go here.

It has received seven Golden Globe nominations, landed on the cover of Entertainment Weekly and is expected to be a major Oscar contender. Phone calls and e-mails have poured into the Democrat wanting to know why the film has yet to..."

23. I've decided to rejoin the world for a few days.
One of the contractors will begin fabrication on the bluestone pallet today. The wood stove will be installed next Wednesday if the weather holds.

My bank loves me. All of those headaches are worked out. Now I have a little more than 60 days to hire even more contractors to complete a few major renovations. I will be so happy to finally have a real floor in the new living room. We still need sub flooring over one end of the pool and a trap door for access to the dry storage area beneath the floor.

34. The renovation in that room began in 2002.
The pool wasn't working when we bought the house and we had planed to reopen it. After I started researching how to run the pool without rotting the house I decided it wasn't worth the expense. So the next question became ~ What do you do with a big hole in the floor?

Hey bud. Sucks you have to work this weekend. I am working through this weekend as well. grrr...But at least I blocked out next Tues-Fri so I can spend some alone time with friends and the boy (he's being needy lol).

I did buy me a new toy yesterday - a BlackBerry 8700.

Still trying to figure out all the features, but so far it's pretty awesome. In my line of work, I need immediate access to email, phone, and internet, so this was my best bet for on-the-go connectivity. :) At least it saves me from dragging the laptop everywhere.

So, when you going to come cook me breakfast?

:hi::hug:
Congratulations on the Blackberry, Dude! I'm sure THAT set you back a pretty penny, especially if you are still under contract and you had to pay full retail for it! I have Cingular as my carrier too, by the way. I hear those things can do so much! But isn't the e-mail and internet service kind of expensive? I haven't really looked into it too much...

If your boy is being needy, then I'm glad you've got some time set aside for him! :bounce:

35. Yeah,
it did cost a pretty penny, but I think it's worth the investment considering I will be using it quite a bit. The only feature it doesn't have is a camera, but I always keep a digital camera in my briefcase so it's really not a problem. The main reason I needed this is for checking email, IM's, basic web access, along with your basic PDA stuff.

My plan is about $230/month which includes 4000 anytime minutes, unlimited internet access, 1000 text messages, and extended nights and weekends, and unlimited media messaging.

However, the more I've been playing with it, the more I think I should have went with the HP iPAQ. It was more expensive, but ran on a windows pocket PC platform and also had an added SD slot for expansion. I was thinking that the SD slot would be useful if I should need to snap a few pictures on my digital camera and email them off to whomever. I still have a few weeks to test this model out before deciding to keep it or not. Either way, it totally brings me into a new era of mobility :)

The boy is just restless. I'm going to take him out to the French Room on Wednesday for dinner, and I know Thursday we're going to the club (yet again lol) Shall be fun.

So, what are you doing today?

That's what I have to do today (and for the next several days in fact), so that's my plan. $230 a month! Good gods that's expensive! But, if you need it for work, then I guess it's worth it. You must just have money running out your ears or something! :rofl:

Oh well . . . sorry to hear you have to work the weekend. Doing inventory in retail is not a fun job, so you have my sympathy on that front.
