Well, I didn't think "Office Space" was very funny at all.
And, I'm further confused about the inexplicable appeal of Jennifer Aniston.

1. OMG what is wrong with you?
I'm kidding, but have you never worked in a bad corporation or in a cubicle? I love the themes and the humor. Destroying the dysfunctional fax machine is a glorious scene. Its one of my favorite movies of all time. Mike Judge is a comic genius.

I guess that's the problem.
I've never been a cubicle rat, so I guess most of it is over my head.

BUT...

I find "The Office" to be endlessly hilarious.

So maybe "Office Space" just bites?

7. I compare it to Chaplain's Modern Times
They were both about how changes in the economic structure and corporations coldly dehumanize people. Its a bigger emotional release if you've experienced that first hand.

10. Ah yes, if you've never been a cube rat,
you won't get it. Office Space is more about recognizing something stupid that is JUST LIKE YOUR REAL LIFE.

Scary, actually. :D

6. I like it too. It really does nail corporate culture. And that whole
"flair" business... HA! But I guess if I were to watch it for the first time, after hearing all the hype about it.. it might be a bit befuddling. All in all, a great piece of satire, great charactes. Mike Judge is a rare talent. And boy, he sure stays under the radar.

14. The neighbor really cracks me up, I used to have a dude like that
next door when I lived in Bakersfield, CA, he was annoying as hell but he was a riot. :)

Office Space wasn't what I expected, but I loved it. The whole "work over the weekend" thing killed me

11. for me it's getting old
I have friends who have to watch it once or twice a month for some reason.

Interestingly, all of them love the movie but hate that Jennifer Aniston's in it.

16. I had a bad copy/fax machine in an office I worked in once
and it would show us these coded error messages. There were a few of us that, every time it happened, someone would say "PC load letter! What the f**k does that mean?!" That made everything better.
