Mr.Bush Baud Man! He Vedy, Vedy Baud Man!!

I live in a large tourist resort, and tomorrow EVERY place will be closed, including brewpubs and bars!! WTF???? The city is packed with visitors, and tomorrow they will, by late afternoon, descend upon our great downtown, only to wind up walking the streets searching for diversion. And it will be cold raining, so hiking and mountian biking is out. I can't comprehend it.

All those of us, who choose NOT to celebrate this holiday (or whatever it is), ask is to be able to go on with our lives normally. Is that too much? There are young employees in all these establishments who couldn't care LESS about 'turkey' (many are vegetarians here), but could really use the overtime pay! As an economist, I am at a loss to explain it.

In the 4th week of what we're calling "The Foley Krud".
Starts out like a bad cold. That lasts about a week.
Then it settles into the back of the throat/upper-chest/post-nasal-drip and the cough hangs on and on and on and on...
You don't feel really bad, just not much energy and the general blahs.
