I saw "The Producers" last night, movie form
Brilliant!

I saw it on Broadway a number of times, but never with Broderick and Lane, so it was nice to see them do the show (I am a TOTAL fan of Nathan Lane, and think he has come nowhere near receiving the accolades that he deserves). The movie was a wonderful version of the play - some things got changed around a bit, but that's expected.

Still just as hilarious.

And Will Ferrel brought in a performance that was not only good, it was excellent! He hasn't done that since Austin Powers II.

2. It was awesome!
I saw it in the traveling Broadway production last year, without Broderick and Lane, so I loved being able to see them in the roles they made famous. Will Ferrel had me rolling! Roger Bart's gay sidekick performance was priceless, particularly after having just seen him in Desperate Housewives.

When this comes out on DVD, I will buy it and watch it over and over!
