1. What a beautiful country!
Land of my ancestors (some of them, anyways).
I LOVE the one with the woman and the cat! :)

3. she is my mom's neighbor
and the cat comes to her whenever she is outside stitting in the sun or standing there. She demands to get petted. It is fun to watch.

2. Wow!
The last one and the one with the snow fence kind of remind me of "All Quiet on the Western Front." The desolation is striking.

You have a good eye, MissH. What kind of camera do you use?

7. EOS 300?
I'm not familiar with that one. Perhaps it's a European designation.

Okay, I just looked at the Canon Europe site. That camera's not available in the U.S.

Which zoom did you get?

9. That isn't the one I saw
I was looking at the 300V. This is the first time I've heard of the 300 series.

I'd love to have the lens that's on the one in the photo. I have a similar one — a 35-105 that I use as the main lens instead of the standard 50mm.

42. Oy! Oy! Oy!
Photography Lesson No. 9: Always support the lens, particularly longer lenses. Turn your wrist the other way so you hold the lens as you would the back of a baby's head, but more in the web between your thumb and forefinger than in your palm. And hold it more toward the end of the lens. This will help prevent shake.

Also, try to keep your gear bag on your hip, too. If it hangs like that, it'll sway a bit, and the weight of it being forward won't help you stand steadily. It's also bad for your back. Same goes for your foot position; the left foot should be in front, not the right.

Oh... Tamron is one of the best of the aftermarket lenses. Good choice.

And don't change that bum one bit.

it is not a gravestone but a landmark (boundary stone). They are common in Germany.

50. I really like the 2nd one
but it looks like you were aerial when taking that shot. I tried to climb some hunting stands when I was tromping through the Siegwald but I never really got a decent shot. It was gloomy/foggy when I visited Durchhausen too so the views were not as spectacular.
