SEATTLE - Shaun Alexander and Matt Hasselbeck shined as the Seahawks dominated the Carolina Panthers on Sunday with a 34-14 win, securing the NFC title and a trip to the Super Bowl.

on the shores of the Whulge (maps now have it as Puget Sound)? The biggest most-disgusting marketing slug-fest of the year and we're in it.

Still I am a big Hawks fan, despite the innocence lost since my naive youth when I believed this was all about sports.

An interesting psychological matchup too, since presumably Steeler fans can caravan to the stadium but may not be widely loved in Detroit. Seattle might get adopted as Cinderella. I hope so.
