I have been waiting for this day for 30 years
Morning at the JulieRB residence. Julie is puttering around the house, nervously awaiting the start of the Seahawk game. Mr. JulieRB is his usual calm self.

Afternoon, same day. The RB family is on its way to watch the game at a local movie theater. (The event was a joint venture between Galaxy Theater and our favorite restaurant, Nana Carmela's in Monroe.) Julie is nervous. Mr. JulieRB is his usual calm self.

We're watching the game. Julie is about to jump out of her skin until interception #4, at which time she starts smiling. Mr. JulieRB is alternating between stuffing himself with amazing food and being his usual calm self.

Post-game. Julie is in shock. You can imagine what Mr. JulieRB is doing.

GO Seahawks, and thanks for the excitement!
Julie
I think I have to go lie down now... :eyes:

2. The only way this would be better is
if the Southlandshari family was here to enjoy it with us ;-)!

It's so good to hear from you!

4. Tell me, my friend
Does your husband do this stuff, too? I am nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof, he's calm, cool and collected.

I would feel better if just ONCE, he had some kind of nuclear meltdown over something ridiculous ;-).

5. I think everyone should experience their team winning it all.
It's a GREAT feeling! I waited over 20 years for my Spurs to finally win! :bounce:

Congratulations to you and the other Seahawks fans!

10. Thank you, and I'll be crossing my fingers for your team!
Of course, this is just the first step in my plan for world domination. ;-) The Seattle Mariners must go to the World Series! :bounce: :bounce:

7. Jim Zorn. Aaaah, memories.
I had such a crush on him when I was younger ;-). So did half of Seattle, and oh, the heartbreak when he married his wife. He looked good, didn't he? Doesn't look a day older, either, and it's been 30 freaking years!

I was surprised that Steve Largent wasn't there. Then again, he hasn't been in good health lately, has he?

Julie
next Sunday, we will drink to the Seahawks!

9. SeattleGirl, if you all are looking for a place to watch the game,
try the Galaxy. They're doing the same thing again. There's an entrance fee, they bring in food and beer. The seating is super comfy and it's quite an experience to watch a game on a huge (or, as Donald Trump would say, Yoooooooooge,) movie screen. We got our tickets before we even left earlier.

I know the tickets are going fast, but it sure would be fun to have some other DU'ers there!

11. It was a sweet victory...I remember seeing Largent catch his 1000th
pass in the Kingdome, and loved the days when Seattle would beat Denver...:)

I was in the Kingdome the night day that the Griffey's hit back to back son/father homers...I'm willing to bet THAT never happens again...:)

It has been a long time coming...and I'm happy they finally did it. I have to be honest, when the cameras panned the Carolina bench, I just couldn't help but get a smirk over my face...they played like my old HS team, and the Hawks just plain beat the crap out of them; somtimes it just pays to call it like it is....:D
