1. I was looking around Monday night
there was NOTHING on. We ended up watching a repeat of Funniest Home Videos on WGN.

We are getting rid of all but the most basic cable. No need anymore.

4. Chesterfield county must have the worst line up of shows
in the history of cable. There is never anything on except Law and Order reruns. And, I love Law and Order.

3. Check your local PBS station for "Bleak House"
Two hour intro, weekly hour-long episodes on Sunday nights, two-hour conclusion.

Gorgeous to look at, well-acted, well-paced. And free.

Also on network are "Everybody Hates Chris" and "My Name is Earl", which are both really fun (well, "Chris" is a little dark, but the parts that deal with his parents are funny)

We don't have cable, but rent "Six Feet Under" and "Deadwood" on DVD - top notch stuff
