My LTTE about the Florida father beating up the teacher.
Edited on Fri Jan-27-06 01:27 PM by hiaasenrocks
This is about the case in Bradenton, Florida, where a girl told her father that her teacher had touched her inappropriately and the father went to the school and punched the teacher in the face. Well, now the school says that the girl lied in an attempt to create a diversion from the fact that she got a detention for pouring Coca-Cola on another student, and they have video evidence that the teacher wasn't near the girl when the alleged touching took place. So now the father faces criminal charges, and the girl faces expulsion.

Anyway, I e-mailed the following sarcastic letter to the editor of the local paper down there, in defense of the father. Do you think they’ll print it, even if they do catch the sarcasm and the link to Bush's lies and "logic" about Iraq?

Here's the letter:
I have no problem with the father’s brave actions. He was merely acting on the intel he had at the time. Clearly, based on that intel, the teacher was an “imminent threat.” What, you expect him wait for that teacher to show up at their house in the middle of the night, scale up the side of the house, and sneak in through an unlocked window? No way! Take the fight to the guy at school so you don't have to fight him in your own house!
