I had the BEST possible news today about my new neighbors!
Remember about 6 weeks ago, when I was weeping over the loss of my beloved old neighbors?

No? Well, that's OK!

My beloved former neighbors moved away after selling their house...

To unknown people..... :scared:

Well! Today, my husband and I got to meet them...We were coming home from lunch, and they were in their garage, plus their kids....

They are lovely friendly folks, with a son and daughter....

But the best part?

They are LIBERALS! Celebrate with me! :bounce: :bounce:


And yours truly doesn't miss a trick....I already told them about DU!

I don't think so! Because......the first thing I did was to show the lady of the house my button that's on my purse!

And she responded very positively to that!

I live in the Inland Empire, in the Temecula Valley, the reddest part of Southern California.

All of my neighbors are hardright Conservative Christian Republicans.

O.K. The good part of me says, "Good for you! Enjoy!"

Believe me, I understand! The folks who moved away were pretty conservative.....

So we didn't talk politics.....and I loved them anyway, cause they were cool otherwise.....

I really feel for you....can you save your money (haha) and move?

Even then there's no guarantees.....this area is full of Republicans...

But they do tend to be better educated than the fundies inland....

You know I will enjoy my new neighbors....and how I wish things were better for you!

I'll survive. We actually have a network of about 200 or so progressives that are pretty close. Maybe we should all move to the same part of town (that's a thought).
