I can't come up with one. I'll bet a gazillion dollars some reviewer somewhere will call it "The Stink Panther."

Both that and the remake of "When A Stranger Calls" are incomprehensible
The only potential is for tarnishing the memories.

7. When Limp Bizkit is remaking a Who song, you don't need an open mind
This is a similar situation.

12. EVERYTHING is a remake nowadays!
I was at the megaplex and 13 of the 15 movies were based on a TV show or an earlier movie or something like that.

1. Relax. Enjoy movies. Don't pre-judge.
Take it easy and keep an open mind.

2. It will. I'd personally rather watch the old Peter Sellers movies.

Negative speculation. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

15. I see that as an argument for it, not against it.
Steve Martin, though... man, he was funny at one time. LA Story is so underrated. I guess maybe he's getting paid now for doing good stuff back then.

16. Steve Martin is one reason
IMO he does still have it. I can't think of a better person to do the role now.

17. I think Martin's great.
I think Kevin Kline is great. I think Jean Reno is great. But if the trailers are any indication, 90% of the movie will be Steve Martin falling down. I don't hold out any hope that there will be any "Do you have a mes-SAGE for me?" moments.

20. Martin's great, but he's no Peter Sellers
Which kills this in my mind. Let good movies stand, dammit! (That comes from someone who liked 2/3 of the SW prequels, so I don't know if you should take my advice).

19. It's like remaking Citizen Kane. What's the point?.....
...Why screw with a true classic? A facsimile of a classic, is still a facsimile.
