It seems very strange to me, yet vaguely familiar... It's kinda funny, though I've only seen it twice.

1. Improv, no laugh track, interesting camera work
It's a nice pairing with My Name is Earl, which I find amazing.

'Joey' was cute but no substance at all. Earl and the Office make a nice pair.

6. Maybe I've got something
for documentary style shows with no laugh track, but this and Arrested Development are right up there. Steve Carell is just so damn awkward.

7. I haven't seen NBC's version of "The Office"
Loved the original BBC version, though.

11. I HIGHLY recommend it
I can't say that I have seen but one of the original. It was funny but maybe I just thing Carrell is funny beyond words. Earl (at 9PM) makes for a great hour of sitcom TV like the old days.

12. It is pretty hilarious
I never saw the BBC version, so I have no comparison. But it's very funny on its own merits.

13. "look this is just a 'run out the clock situation' just like upstairs"
That line KILLED me last night. Dwight's alluding to "Lost" was hilarious too.

9. I saw a few episodes last fall, I think.
It was really good. Carell is scary.

10. They've really upped the FUNNY since moving to Thursday night
Two weeks ago "The Injury" was a sitcom classic. Up there with the WKRP Turkey show. Seriously it is really really good. Earl has done the same except Earl went to more dark humor. I highly recommend both.

We just watched our tape of the 1st season last weekend. And I finally got to see a few 2nd season episodes of it recently--also hilarious. I was nervous, having been a fan of the UK version, but the US version is holding its own nicely.
