Rev Acts rip off: name something you did that you are proud of
It can be simple:

I held my lover while he cried and shook in my arms. He suffers from PTSD and the littlest thing can set him off. So I am proud of that. Just holding him when he needed someone.

More proud than I am of my multiple degrees, more proud than I am of getting my writing published...... just that one moment holding him while he cried.

It still breaks me up - but I'm proud to have been there.

Khash.

3. I'm proud that I once gave money to someone who needed it,
and never even bothered to think that they might use it the wrong way.

What matters is that I did the right thing when called upon.

4. I have done much that I am proud of, my dear Khash......
But perhaps I can say it more clearly this way:

When I'm taking pictures, I cease to exist ...and all that exists is my spirit and the awareness that I am creating something beautiful....

Later when I look at those pictures, I feel awed...and proud.

But somehow, it is almost as though I hadn't taken them. It seems as though someone else did, and I'm just channeling someone else's spirit into my photography.

But that's the best I can come up with.......

8. Yeah I feel that way sometimes when I write.
It's like someone else wrote it.

It used to infuriate me when I asked writers how they wrote and they'd say "The muse did it" What a crock! But I''ve learned they were speaking the truth. Awed is a better word than proud, though.

The muse is very real - I haven't decided yet if she's just a euphamism for creativity or a goddess... but I worship at her altar.

5. I found $350 wadded up on the floor at a former employer's
and turned it in to my employer. I was shocked when he confided that he would NOT have turned it in.
Two weeks later, he gave me the money saying it had not been claimed.

Okay, I have to say my mother had been working for him for 27 years at the time when I was hired.
Several years later, after his wife died, my mother and "boss" got together and they were like kids in love. He was almost more of a father than my real father was. They doted on each other, and held hands like kids. They were so in love. God rest their souls.

6. Good for you, khashka
You should be proud of your compassion.

It is sad that others don't realize how those of us with PTSD need that comfort. I have actually found that some seem to enjoy pushing my buttons, if you can believe that. :(

My proudest moment, holding my 2 year old and 4 year old nephew and neice out of the Katrina storm waters and helping their parents and grandparents to safety out of the waters as the hurricane raged. It is my proudest and my most haunting experience, probably why I have that PTSD. It still breaks me up too and sleep doesn't seem to come as easy as it once did.

Working on it and through it.

Your lover is lucky to have you.

7. I kept myself from committing suicide.
For I have nobody else to save me from myself, but me.

I'm glad he has somebody. Somebody as genuine as you.

Cheers.

9. You have me....
Not much, I admit. But any port in a storm, eh?

You start getting down on yourself again and I swear to god I will beat the hell out of you! I am capable of violence.

Haven't you got it yet? I'd date you in a freaking minute! Just yesterday I was reading a book and wondered what you would think of it. We won't mention how turned on I was by the pic you posted. (Nothing nasty, folks, just a a shot of his face - get your minds out of the gutter.)

And if you ever felt the need to cry - I'd be honoured to hold you.

Khash.
