How long have you played?

and teaching myself over the last year or so. Not trying to seriously learn like badass bass playing or anything, lol, but just something to do when I'm bored. Really I just enjoy learning to play songs by the bands I like and it's a nice ego booster to get something right. I'm a stay at home woman, with a dog, and have a lot of time on my hands (mainly spent on DU :P) when I'm not cleaning or playing with the dog or babysitting my friend's kids.
My SO taught himself to play so he kind of steers me in the right direction in regards to what he thinks I can learn and tries to teach me the basics of really playing, not just reading tablature. :hi:

On edit: i think I may have phrased that badly, "what he thinks I can learn". he totally has my pace down and is very good at pushing me to challenge myself, he's a surprisingly good teacher to me :)

Music is best when it's for your own enjoyment. Hope you never stop learning.

I hope so too! He has a guitar, too, that I may decide to pick up someday and try out. :D

I only wish his keyboard still worked, because I know I'd have great fun with that.

And finally at age 36, with my current favorite guitar: a Godin Multiac ACS electric solid-body nylon-string w/ synth access (just taken)

I LOVE that guitar! We've actually used it on recordings of a couple of songs on our first CD. It really cuts through the mix. Very lush-sounding, sounds sweet without any post-processing, too!

It's just a very sweet-sounding guitar. I picked it up used for $100 about 10 years ago. I'd never had a 12-string before but I loved its sound.

Needs some neck work, though.

he got it off a guy who needed rent $$$, and paid $150 for it about twelve years ago. No joke!
