and take a moment remember the many people lost to this disease. As a gay man who has lost far too many beautiful friends and has a brother that is living with this disease, I ask you to wear a red ribbon tomorrow and donate to help fight this scourge. To donate please go to: http://www.aidforaids.org/donate_form1.php.
Additional info at: http://www.worldaidsday.org/.

To: Kevin K., Matt R., Richard C., Timothy P., Tamara L., Andrew R., Rick D., John G., and my wonderful Mark H. You are sorely missed and I think of you often. You took a bit of my heart with you.

I guess.

Anyhow, I hope I can get ahold of some red ribbon tomorrow, I had no idea that a day like this existed, but am glad to see it.

I hadn't heard it on any of the main news outlets, what a shame. The only place you hear about AIDS hardly at all is on the BBC and other foreign news.

Best wishes to your brother

5. Was this day picked because it is Ryan White's Bday?
I mean, he was so huge when alive.

6. Good question.
I really don't know, but it would be very appropriate.

In memory of Ryan White

8. I found out last night that a friend had died of AIDS
We once were engaged to each other(he was HIV positive at the time). It did not work out for us--last August he called me from another state and we had an argument. I had not tried to contact him since then. I put his SS number into the death index and found out he died one week after our argument.

I will always love Lemar R. even if he was one of the most difficult people on the planet to get along with.

The last time I saw him he was covered with growths called Mollusks (I think that was what they were called). His one eyelid was eaten away and he had a heart-catheter. He looked monstrous. I told him I still loved him and asked him to move in and let me take care of him until he died. I remember telling him that if he could manage sex that I would enjoy it as I found love to be an "aphrodisiac." He laughed and said that I was the strangest person he had ever met. He said that he did not want move in with me as he had been "Born Again" and that being gay was "a sin." I was so angry--but I pray for him and will miss him.

Thanks for your post.
