Thanks for the link. What a bloke Strummer was. A true inspiration. I had the privilege of meeting him in person a couple of times after his gigs in Liverpool, and he was a real down to earth guy. I was truly gutted when I heard he'd died. More so because I never took the opportunity to thank him for helping me not to become a selfish cynical bastard through the years of the Thatcher apocalypse.

I was seeking out info on a band called the Slackers who are similar to the Hepcats, and the new ska revival going on. Someone gave me their new cd, and it goes highly recommended by Bushfire as it bashes the "Bu$h Regime" in one of their songs. Great house party music for any occasion.

Joe's music meant a lot to me, and regret only catching him once live just a couple years ago. He started with London Calling, and then closed the show with it. A Great setlist thruought too. Was always hoping for a Clash reunion, but glad we still have all his great music.

I just watched the video at home because the bastards at work have put a block on video downloads.

Great video. A bit on the sentimental side, and I'm not sure about putting Joe's picture next to an Ethiopian dictator, but fuck it, Joe was on our side. Strangely enough, the older I get the more his music means to me, especially his early stuff. Now I have a "respectable" job, surrounded by "responsible" people. But I'm still fuelled by anger at the fuckin mess this bunch of fuckin fanatics who are in control now have created in their lust for profits. And I can thank Joe for making me an angry stroppy bastard who the twats at work love to hate.

Once again, thanks a lot for posting this, mate.
