Today's my 10th wedding anniversary

Today is our fourth anniverary also, we've got 21 years in all together but only married for the last four.

well, I was not that young, but was still a teenager!

Back then I thought it would be a fun day to get married - that he wouldn't forget our anniversary, but in the past 10 years or so it hasn't been great - flowers are really expensive, you have to get dinner reservations at LEAST a month in advance and it's always crowded.


BTW, I saw Mr & Mrs Kedrys eloped - we tried to get "secretly" married, but my parents found out 5 days ahead of it, so we had 20 people total at the wedding/dinner.

We usually stay at home and have dinner and wine or champagne there. Then we open presents! This years we're not doing flowers or candy. We don't need to spend the money or eat all that fattening food!

We had a very small wedding at our house. We sent out announcements on the same day so they were postmarekd in red on Feb. 14th! We had two good girl friends (one as a witness and one as photographer) and my little stepdaughter in the wedding! Even the judge was a lady! Afterwards we had a few good friends and neighbors over for pink cahmpagne and gourmet cakes! :) It was perfect. We'd both been married before. We payed for it all ourselves.

We'd told our immediate families and a few friends in advance but not anyone else so they were quite surprised when they got the announcement in the mail!
