1. I was just checking that out yesterday.
There is a women's curling league headquartered in Rochester, as well as a U.S. curling association. I just googled till I found something.

4. New York.
www.uswca.org

There's also www.uscurling.org and www.curling.com (this is a Canadian site with links to all kinds of curling associations -- foreign ones, wheelchair curling, etc.).

2. Try bocce.
It's easier to pack up and take with you when you go camping, on road trips, etc.

Not very portable, you're right.

9. BTW- curling was a HUGE hit in 2002 on CNBC
Apparently the stock broker crowd LOVED going to bars and watching it and betting. I was huge in several places, any number of ways to bet on it. Instant results too.

11. My husband gets a crush on the Swedish women's team every four years.
It's his favorite part of the winter Olympics.

Some real hotties on that team. They have a calendar out.

There was a skiier (the mogul and jump skiing) on the other night who was devastatingly georgous. Forgot her name.

13. There's a curling club in St Paul on Selby Ave
I go by it every day going into work. It's near the corner of Selby & Western, just west of Fern's. They may be in the phone book.
